Only after bearing down I can see the time burn for the current course I'm sailing.
But of course I want have know this info before making the call to bear down to the line.

So I think it would be super handy to have this extra information available:
1) fastest time to line (+ corresponding burn), so kind of a 'line VMC time (burn)", together with the corresponding TWA (that one only as number box channel). 
2) time (+ corresponding burn) when sailing perpendicular towards the line. (this number will be useless for upwind starts)
3) time  (+ corresponding burn) for a preselected TWA that needs to be entered in an extra input field. So while still upwind killing time one could calculate a "XXX" TWA approach time to the line.

All to be selectable / deselectable for display in the start box graphic but also available as number channels (including their corresponding time burns).

 

I second the suggestions for the Reach Start numbers - would be very useful on the very long, and very often reaching start RYS line!

1. VMC Line would be very useful. However floating point(s) on the line where you would be on the line, on time, with a corresponding TWA for each point may paint a better picture? Or maybe colourise the line RED along where you have time to burn...would also be v useful for W/L starts.
2. Shortest distance to line time/burn also very useful (your line perpendicular), 
3. Predefined TWA: could be a +/- toggle similar to the Shear function. Useful to set, for example, the highest angle you can sail with a C0....

Additional reaching start numbers could also be:
1. Time or Dist from P and S to Active mark - would also be v useful for W/L starts.
2. Burn time at TWA to Active mark.
