I'm not likely the key user for this feature, but while struggling to move courses between copies it occurred to me that quite a bit of the data is specific to a boat, .e.g. polars, acceleration & braking rates, and some of it may be specific to a region, e.g. charts, mark & course lists. 

Is this done now by installing databases for each boat/region ? 
my experience moving marks.dat files from win7 professional to win10 was less than elegant

a future organization where there's a boat folder that contains the sails, polars, pre-start coefficients and any customization of channels to instruments, might make sense, where you would load the boat information. 

similarly a region/race  folder that contained charts, marks, courses race notes and perhaps even weather sources would allow for efficient bundling of the region into a set of information.
