Course that crosses 180deg

Trying to plot of easterly course that crosses over date line of 180deg.

The displayed course then appears to wrap around the globe.
Optimal route stops when it hits 180deg.
Do I just need a new segment to start at 179.99  and go east or is there a setting or a way to plot such a course.
Using 4D version but just the generic world map as the chart.

Thanks

Re: Course that crosses 180deg

It seems ok here with C-map 4D charts.

Are you trying to use the simple vector chart? That is only really designed for land avoidance with route optimisation etc.

Re: Course that crosses 180deg

I was using the "worldchart".as I thought that had the less details.  Switched to use the World CMAP and no more issue.  Should have tried that first.  Thanks

Re: Course that crosses 180deg

There is a 'Base data only' option for C-Map and ENC charts.

Re: Course that crosses 180deg

Thank you. With your help I have the map issue sorted out.
I did notice that when downloading NOAA Gribs if the selection box crosses 180deg it downloads a 0 size file.  Does not display an error.  Grib file is just 0kb.  Works fine if I go just up to 180 and then download a second grib from just over.
