Host Hardware
Is there any consensus on the best/better hardware platform for Expedition? I'm considering moving from PC Win7 to Apple and fear the unknown gators in that swamp at this point. I have the impression that Win7 is better than Win8 or 10, and maybe it's as simple as use Win7 with the Apple shell, but I'm not smart enuf' to have more than guesses at this point.

Windows 7 is very old cf Windows 10 or 8.

The MacBook retina, boot camp, win 10 setup works well.

so far Win 10 is impressive, no problems, cleared up several annoying glitches i've been living with.
