EC_HRES File Doesn't Automatically Populate

Small issue, but we've noticed that  when using Expedition downloads to update gribs the EC_HRES file isn't automatically loading in the list of files in the weather data page.  It is downloading and is accessible by opening the grib folder and clicking on it.  Not sure when this started happening but it was likely a release or two ago.

It seems ok here ...

Re: EC_HRES File Doesn't Automatically Populate

It definitely happens to me frequently, though not always.   It might be related to whether the EC_HIRES has a long run (384 hours) vs a short run (90 hours) available.  I'll try to gather some more info and report back.  All of the other models populate as expected every time.

It happened to me a few times with different models. But it is kind of a random occurrence.

Re: EC_HRES File Doesn't Automatically Populate

Reporting back in on this...  the problem disappeared shortly after my post and has not recurred.   Thank you for making it go away!

But I'll mention another similarly small challenge that I've experienced for well over a year.  When using Exp to download gribs with the "Clear old grib files" option selected, all old models get replaced properly except for the Mercator model.  For some reason Exp doesn't do the Mercator replacement so when I look in "Settings" "Weather Data" after a model refresh I ALWAYS have both the new and the old Mercator grib.  It doesn't happen with any other grib, only Mercator.  Very small issue in the grand scheme of things, but I figured I'd report it.

Re: EC_HRES File Doesn't Automatically Populate

I've seen the same issue but with the UKV model.  It seems it is not deleting the existing files even though the checkbox has been marked to do it.  The result is that in the wind models drop down you end up with really old data, cluttering up the list.  See the two UM_UKV files below.

It would also be great to have a simple refresh button (like exists for Rainviewer and Sailflow) that would just pull down the latest gribs based on your last selection rather than having to choose the geographical bounds each time.

I 100% agree with this!
