I was going to replace our boat laptop this winter now that Windows 10 is out of service and was wondering about any system requirements for CPU, like number of cores and speed, RAM and GPU. Does it matter whether it is Intel or AMD?
And what would be a specification (not just min.) that will be good for the foreseeable future without spending too much money on it? 
For instance would an Intel i5 or i7 with 4 cores and 16GB still be sufficient. Or should it be rather a Core 5 or Core 7 or even Core Ultra. Just wondering.
