No position fix in expedition

I installed a B and G Hercules and a ZG100 compass without a problem, then I connected Expedition to the Hercules through a google chrome.

The problem is that in Expedition, I am getting the message "NO POSITION FIX" in the status bar and therefore no position information. I have gone into Expedition and tried every instrument setting without luck. These are some expedition instrument settings I have tried.

1/ Network 0 to B & G H3000/5000 Hlink, UDP/Client/Server, Address as per the address of the Hercules (192.168.20.31 - this is from the DHCP server), port 5010, boat 0, there is raw data coming in when I select UDP or Server
#OV,,001,131,1*09,
#OV,,001,132,1*0A#OV,,001,135,1*0D#OV,,001,141,1*0E#OV,,001,155,1*0B#OV,,001,194,1*06#OV,,001,207,1*0F#OV,,001,233,1*08

2/ I also tried, Network 0 to B & G Websocket, Address as per the address of the Hercules (192.168.20.31 - this is from the DHCP server), port 2052, boat 0. This setting asks for a PIN but I do not know what PIN this requires?

The GPS source is set to Network 0.

Has anyone got any ideas as to why I am not getting a position fix in Expedition?

Regards
Andrew

Re: No position fix in expedition

Firstly, you need to understand which B&G processor you have.

HLink is for H2000/3000 etc. Your post suggests H5000 or later, in which case you will be connecting with the websocket option NOT HLink. Chrome is not involved in the Expedition connection.

#OV is Expedition sending HLink data, not the B&G processor.

If it requires a PIN for the B&G, see the Exp help topic and the B&G manual. You may need to know what the PIN is.
