Magnetic Model 2025
I am having problems with new magnetic model and exp 12.1.05. Due to technical reasons we can not update to 12.1.14 yet.
Dowloaded magnetic file, saved in the exp folder but things doesn't work.... no times to lay lines,........ boat is always drawn to North,...... but if I set the PC date settings to 2024 everything works!

Did you copy the two wmm*.cof files over the existing installed ones ...?
If it isn't working - you almost certainly haven't.

Unfortunately, it's not working. I erased everything, reinstalled version 12.0.23, and copied the .cof files. Is there something I'm doing wrong?"

Hey Nick, where is the wmm.cof supposed to go? I actually can't find the old one to replace!?

It is easiest to update the Exp install to the latest.
Else, replace the wmm*.cof files installed with Exp - which means in c:\program files\expedition\...

I just started running v12 (12.1.14) and Expedition runs fine and I'm getting NMEA data to the number boxes, but I don't get any data on the stripchart (no lines at all) now and when I load a log file I get the magnetic variation error. Is there another directory that needs a wmm file update?

Thanks Nick. I missed that while the v11 upgrades kept referring to the same stripchart file, the v12 was a different file location and my shortcut on my toolbar was no longer referring to new version.
