Assymetrical polar testing using a polar % range

Hi all,

A question regarding the use of asymmetrical polars for port/starboard due to a missing bit of foil. When I set the asymmetrical polars for instance the PolP polar to 100%, and the PolS to 98%, and then run projections using the Optimal - P% Polar % option from 95% to 100% polars, am I testing PolP polar % 95 to 100% and PolS for the same range, or testing for PolS 98% times 95 to 100% hence lower percentages range from 93% to 98%?

Thank in advance for any help.

Herman

Re: Assymetrical polar testing using a polar % range

Hello,

I am not at all sure sure I understand the question, but the P and S polars can have their own percentages.

The auto polar % option is on top of those.

Re: Assymetrical polar testing using a polar % range

Hi Nick, thanks for your reply. If you state "on top of those" this implies if I interpret this correctly, that the polar percentage used in the Port and SB polar percentages are multiplied with the Optimal polar range specified.
