Hi
I usually add routes before a race, and dont delete them on my personal machine, keeping them for next year. But this gets complicated with races with many route options like Maxi Cup etc. So now I have routes like MC_23_71 and HR_22_B2 etc
I'd like to have a folder like for waypoints, so I can make a folder for each race series, then add their myriad routes in there.
Thank you

So -- the way I do it is I keep separate Mark Databases for each race or series.

I understand, and I sorta do that if I have to copy my mark database to another computer - but its untidy and doesn't help my OCD So a folder structure would help a lot, especially with series that only chnage one or two mark each year...
I know I can sorta export and import routes but its not really taking everything like which way to round a mark etc. And keeping them in here allows me to check for changes between the years and keeping the older ones.

It is an idea for when I upgrade marks.
I need to update the format used for marks, but don't know what to move it to. Gpx would make things easy for exchange, but it really isn't suitable for this.

Well, you can create the new standard!
IMHO Exp has enough weight to push a new format. Call it OpenMarks or something and publish the format.
Seriously, I don’t think there is a non-custom standard that can contain all the info Exp can store now. It’s not gonna be downward compatible with anything. An xml based sort of human readable file can carry all info.

I would also like this. My wish is mainly for routes but looks like same upgrade would do both routes and waypoints. For instance I am doing a race that has 5 possible courses. I have all the routes created but they take up space when I am looking at different routes. Multiply that by multiple races I routinely do and the route display is cluttered.
