Hey,
i have a QSTARZ 818 XT gps receiver. its connected to the win11 laptop and gps works in general on the machine. gps-information gives the right position. expedition shows the receiver on com3 with full driver information.
expedition doesn't get any position or gps information. the gps window is empty and the map says "NO POSITION FIX" ...
anyone has an idea about it. do i need to enable gps somewhere else?
all the best, juergen

Can you see anyything in the raw data window?
Have you selected that port to use as the GPS source in Exp?

you mean the gps-window? i have no data there ...

yes. i made instruments->gps source -> com5 (it displays the correct driver alias in the interface) if i connect the gps-mouse on any other com-interface, expedition is changing this information to the correct com-port. this part looks fine.
other software is able to use the gps-information and displays the correct position.

The raw data window is from the connection window.

it works. i translated the nmea sentences and found out there is an error by the hardware driver on win11 ... for what ever reason. removed the driver and reinstalled it, it works now.
