Folks. I want to retrieve wx data from Saildocs as email attachments. XGate is the email service I will be using (Iridium GO being the network connection). Hoping someone can relate the workflow to have Expedition form the email request using the XGate client. I have the workflow sorted using Thunderbird email, but I have not figured out how to do this seamlessly using XGate. Cheers

I don't know how XGate works with Iridium GO sorry.
A lot of people use Sailmail for this.

Hello again. The issue seems not to be XGate over Iridium ... I am sure that is fine. The issue is rather that Exp's Saildocs dialog is unable to invoke the XGate email client to form an email request when the Email button is pressed. This works fine on the backup machine that is using Thunderbird over broadband. I think the issue is setting a Windows default email client able to be invoked with a URL similar to ...query@saildocs.com?subject=Saildocs&body=send%20GFS%3A41N%2C38N%2C065W%3E062W%7C0.25%2C0.25%7C0%2C3%2C6%2C9%2C12%2C15%2C18%2C21%2C24%2C27%2C%3D%0D%0A30%2C33%2C36%2C39%2C42%2C45%2C48%2C51%2C54%2C57%2C60%2C63%2C66%2C69%2C72%2C78%2C84%2C90%2C96%2C102%2C%3D%0D%0A108%2C114%2C120%7CMSLP%2CWIND%2CRAIN
Any chance a feature can be added to simply generate the text of the saildocs email request such that it can be cut/pasted into the iScribe XGate email client?

I have it sorted. Installed and configured Thunderbird as default email client to work with the the local XGate gateway. Exp is now able to open and populate a TBird wx data request email for Saildocs.
