No longer displaying AIS since 11.9.4

Using a USB com port from Vesper AIS unit (Com8) that has worked in the past providing instrument and AIS data.
- No longer showing anything AIS related - nothing in list, or on charts.
- Check boxes for NMEA settings all ok - tried 0183 also and also used network connection from Vesper over wifi - same issue,
- Works as expected in Opencpn over the COM8 or Network, so only thing that has change is update.

Tried toggle AIS, no effect.

Any ideas?

Re: No longer displaying AIS since 11.9.4

I had another report of this today (with GoFree). Am currently testing on a Vesper

Re: No longer displaying AIS since 11.9.4

This is a Vesper XB-8000 latest firmware.
Also tried the Vesper AIS checkbox in AIS settings to no effect - unsure what it does.
Can provide NMEA logs if helps.  Standing by.

Re: No longer displaying AIS since 11.9.4

Thanks and apologies for the inconvenience.

It was an issue in the AIS, indirectly related to removing the checksum option and wasn't picked up in testing as all the other NMEA data worked.

I will post an update in the next hour after some more tests.

The vesper checkbox was for some work with Vesper, you won't want/need that.

Thanks. Update now posted.

As a bonus, the grib server now includes Arpege data.
