Expedition hardware requirements

Looking to change sea talk1 to sea talkNg which is NMEA 2000, then I believe Expedition liikes ""  NMEA 0183 ""  Looking at Actisense to take me from NMEA 2000 to MNEA 0183. Raymarine instruments are the only thing I have at the moment. Will it work somewhat.  Thanks for your time.

Re: Expedition hardware requirements

Yes, Seatalk NG is essentially just NMEA 2000, with different connectors. You can even get adaptor cables from Raymaine:

Exp can use both NMEA 2000 and 0183. NMEA 2000 is generally a better solution for most people.

The Actisense NGT-1 option for Seatalk. It just has the Seatalk connector instead of the NMEA 2000 one.

Yacht devices is also an option, but I think needs the adaptor cable.
