I've been using the free TeamViewer.  Works very well.

NAM is useful for the Hawaiian islands where RAP does not cover.

Any chance of adding it to the Exp grib server?

This does not qualify as anything new.  I use a refurbished Dell Latitude rugged tablet which can go upstairs or down in a wireless NMEA data environment and then a refurbished Ipad mini for the cockpit when the tablet is hard wired to NMEA.  I use Team Viewer for mirroring Exp to the Ipad.  Has worked well for me for the last several years on a mix of wet and dry boats.  Lately, I find myself migrating to dryer boats.

Ok. So, different take on the original question. What is the appropriate file/format to import daily position reports?

Nick, Thanks for the response.

This is what I found. "ImportImport positions from a file. Several formats are supported, selected from the drop-list.Any position report file can also be imported by dragging it onto the race tracking window."

No joy for me.

In a recent race the OA was sending daily 0800 reports as an excel file. Upon trying to import to Exp I got/get "unable to open boat id file".

Clearly I am missing a step somewhere. I tried importing as .txt instead with the same result.

What am I missing?
Thanks as always for any input.

Well, I still have not resolved the difference.  Spending time in race prep. But, I think it has something to do with the machines clock on my older laptop. Will get back on it after the race.

Both versions are 11.8.1.

I cannot find the set up difference. But, I am sure you are correct.

I'm routing an upcoming race.  Using the same polars, same weather download and parameters, same marks and same start time, I consistently get two different solutions.  The delta is only 4 minutes and change, but scanning through the solution I note there are different time stamps, up to a minute difference.  TWS can be a tenth different and TWD can be a degree different.

I presume this as being a machine processing issue.  Has anyone else come across this or am I missing something very basic?

Nick,  Spot on.  I downloaded a GPX viewer and there do not appear to be any marks.  Checking with the source to see if anyone else has this issue.
