So that limitation is for each NGT ( comm port) or is for all the garmin custom channels sent by exp ?

Technical Q&A » Load Cell to Expedition on Sailmon » 4/02/2023 6:14 am |
Hi.
we have an E4 with a Diverse loadpin. Loadpin is connected to E4 with a sailmon load box.
From E4 Navdesk: Networking -> output -> expedition user channels -> create new channel with the forestay value. We named Forestay_Load to user 0 ( for example)
From exp: be sure exp is receiving this new channel ( from menu instruments -> sailmon-> Rx values....) and then go to settings menu -> user channels -> user0 ( configure ir with the name you want, precision......)
Hope it helps.
General Discussion » Zeus3 sending data to Garmin GNX 120 » 12/17/2022 12:21 am |
Hi. We have in our system a Vulcan R7 but only as a nmea display and autopilot controller. On GNX120 sources list only appears (vulcan) as a source of navigation data (GPS,WP,…)
General Discussion » GNX 120 Wind data » 10/23/2022 1:04 am |
data sent from exp via processor or via actisense works perfectly with GNX.
the problems is on data TWD sent by processor (h5000 or sailmon e4) and this difference is more noticeable if you have wind motion correction activated. It seems like GNX (sw v3.1) calculates TWD with twa(Leeway included) + heading.
I contacted with garmin support and the answer was: “the GNX120 only displays what NMEA 2000 tells it. It is only a display”.
maybe we are doing something wrong with GNX filters or anything else but TWS and TWA seems to be the same data sent from processor and TWD so so.
