Technical Q&A » mapped AIS targets are double » 10/24/2022 12:28 pm |
Maybe my posting was miss-leading. The AIS target is double. Please have a look to the screen-copy.

Wenn using a hdg calibration table, mapped AIS targets are shown double. One triangle symbol pointing to COG of the AIS target the other triangle symbol pointing (COG +/-hdg). Is this a feature or just an bug?
If you like, I can send a screen copy.
Technical Q&A » Running expedition on Parallels Desktop » 8/13/2022 2:18 am |
After running expedition successfully for many years now on my mac (with Virtual Box and Windows 10) I want to switch to a new Mac with the M1 processor. As Virtual Box is not running on the M1 processors technology I have to switch to parallels desktop with Windows 11. Are there any experiences running expedition with Windows 11 on Parallels Desktop or some already known issues beside the minimum requirements to run expeditions?

Great support. Thank you.

My next race will be in Croatia. During my preparation I noticed that not all observation stations are shown in the map although the data is downloaded to the Folder WxData. As source for obversation I use OgiSynop -> Croatia.
Looking into the downloaded SYNOP messages I found more then 20 stations. Looking on the map there are only 5 stations visibel.
Would be great if you can me help to investigate.
Technical Q&A » AIS and TWS, WTD » 6/25/2019 1:17 pm |
Thank you for your answers and hints. After screening 30k AIS records (in the area of Greece) I did not find any message type 8. Could you please explain from which type of data source TWS and TWD will be filled in the AIS pan list.
Technical Q&A » AIS and TWS, WTD » 6/17/2019 8:16 am |
HI,
looking into the AIS options (pan list) a user can select TWD and TWS. Looking into the AIS definition CLASS B I can not find a definition for sending wind data. It would be great to have such information from other boats to look into the current wind situation around the actual position. Looking into the manual for the "WX to GRIB" function AIS is mention as data source.
Thank you in advance to help me further.
