Expedition Navigation Software / Gates / arrival declaration

In lot of races, we have to fill gates and/or arrival declarations.

Can we have a feature to ease and automate this.
a gate/arrival is defined between 2 waypoints. Ideally can have a name
the gates are independents of the routes, to keep the route to use for weather routing.
each time the boat cross a gate, an event is logged, with date, time and gate name

actually, an Event put in the event list would be useful in many ways. Like easing calculating handicaps etc.

Exp currently does an 'auto advance' of marks, can it simply store this time?

There is an event whenever the mark is automatically advanced.

The event when the mark is automatically advance is very usefull to follow the navigation, in StripChart, ...
With my setup, it switch 0.4NM before arriving at the mark. So it's not for scoring declarion.
