Are there any advantages to using Windows over Android for a roaming tablet? From what I can see, there seem to be Windows versions avalible with better hardware performance.
But if the platform it self makes no difference I’d prefer Android as it would let me use Seapilot (cheap charts, quick and simple) as a basic navigation app on the same tablet, for all navigation not requiring the functions of expedition.
And if Andriod is as good as Windows, does anyone know of good rugged alternatives? I’d prefer something similar to the Getac F110, good viewability, 12’’, hot swappable batteries. But if possible with Android instead of Windows. Any suggestions or experience?
Thanks!
