marks - degrees, minutes, seconds

I thought that in the past, we could enter marks as degrees, minutes, seconds.

I am trying to do that now, and it drops the seconds.

is there a way to do that?

Re: marks - degrees, minutes, seconds

Format is degrees  and decimal minutes.

Eg: 40 45.5 N. Which would be 40 degrees 45 minutes 30 seconds

Another example could be
32 47.688S
134 21.256E

Sure - I know that...

but at some time in the past, i believe one could enter degrees, minutes and seconds. Maybe you still can, and I just did it wrong.

anyway, I have a list of coordinates in degrees, minutes, seconds, and was hoping I could make waypoints without converting.

in the end, i copied and pasted the deg min sec list into chatgpt, and asked it to make a gpx file, which it did.

i then imported the gpx file to expedition.

I had to specify a file of waypoints, as it first defaulted to making a gpx file of route points, which exp did not import.
