We've been looking at Expedition's routing solutions leaving the Galapagos heading to the Marquesas. We've played with different "motor when sailing under..." scenarios and notice that Expedition typically continues to route on angles even when the sailing condition is not satisfied. If it assumes that you need to motor, why wouldn't it route straight to the point at which it has enough wind to sail? Would be helpful to better understand how this works. Maybe we have a setting incorrect? If it was selecting this routing based upon current then the GFS and Euro routes should be the same given that they're using the same current model...
