    Wind Flags on Optimized Route?

    Rookie question: What do the "wind flags" (I don't know what else to call them) mean that are attached to the optimal route that I set on a race course once tide and GIRB files are downloaded and the optimize option is selected?

    They are the winds at that location and time on the optimized route.
