I know a few users have had problems importing GPX routes from other software, the problem seems to be the exported file was created using self-closing tags, expedition does not seem to support it

Below fails
<rtept lat="59.3915" lon="18.724817"/>

while this works perfectly
<rtept lat="59.3915" lon="18.724817"></rtept>

Not a major problem I guess, but perhaps a quick fix that would help

I know many of us has tried sending nav data to H5000, I asked B&G and received the following link - however I can not test it for now, can someone confirm it works?

Thanks, I was hoping to save a little real estate on my mast displays

Is the equation part of the user channels still in development, or could that be an option?

Is there a way to display "Polar heel %"?

Also, is there a way to plot polar heel (or Polar heel %) in the stripchart when you look at a log file?

Suggestions for new features and capabilities » Quickly map number box channels to custom/ external output » 4/16/2021 5:39 am

I know the question about quickly changing the content of external output has been raised before. The typical case would be a navigator with a tablet on the rail wishing to change the value of a mast jumbo display to show time to layline/ time to mark or similar. https://expedition.boardhost.com/viewtopic.php?id=1426

How about a “map channel to external output” function from the “Edit number box” menu (right clicking the number box)?

To change the content of a mast jumbo, one could simply set the display to always show “External 1”, then as the race goes on one could right click the number box showing the value of interest and select “map channel to external 1” – done.

As long as the value is set up in a number box, it should be a quick 2 click operation instead of going through the instruments settings and resetting the channel from there.

Thank you so much for digging! I've used a Yacht devices wi-fi gateway for years as a one-way data source ... I see now I can set it bi-directional - if it works it will be a perfect solution =)

Thanks - what do you think about plugging an Actisense NGT-1 USB into a wifi router USB port or plugging a USB Hub like https://www.deltaco.se/produkter/signalhantering/usb/hubbar/3-portar/USB-H3 into the ethernet port of the wifi router - and connect the NGT-1 to the USB hub - would I be able to access it from the same wifi?

I have a setup with a B&G H5000 processor connected via ethernet to a wifi router. Expedition is connected to the wifi router and H5000 via websocket.

I'm thinking about adding Garmin GNX 120 displays, what are my options to display Expedition custom data on the GNX displays without having a physical PC connection? My PC is a rugged laptop.
