Hello Campbell, sorry for my (very) late reply. I should have been more specific, because I knew how to restore the registry settings. But how does one retrieve the instument settings, my own mmsi etc? Where is that stored?

Hi, no idea if it works, but you might try to use ip 127.0.0.1 when on the same laptop. Or perhaps use a program like Navmonpc as intermediate.

The only way is using ftp to upload your files onto the Zeus, and then import them.(I use Filezilla, user Anonymous, pass anonymous, port 21)

You might take a look at SailProof tablets. I have the 8inch a couple of years now. Only drawback is the older Android version on it. They have a 10" now also, and they were busy with a windows tablet also.
