Thanks Nick. Device seems to suggest 9600 but also tried 4800 with same result. Not aware of any other device using that port. We think it might be related to the driver as Windows gives us an unsigned driver message

Yes. We have used 9600 as the baud rate and nmea0183 as the instrument type
Thanks

Hello. We are having trouble connecting the above gps to expedition. We see the device on the instruments list but it is indicated as closed and expedition says it has no position data. Any ideas?

So I discovered that the update had reverted the grin file to a very old one which was causing the problem. Now resolved

Just upgraded to this version and can no longer run optimizations. Get "cannot sail from start" error message. Any ideas?

Technical Q&A » Unable to get data from Nexus server » 7/08/2016 4:49 am |
More information: we still receive AIS data, but no FDX data. We are also using the Nexus Race Box with server data streamed through the race box.

Good day. We have been using Expedition for several years with our Nexus-based instrument system without issue, but have been unable to receive Nexus data since up(?)grading to Windows 10. Any suggestions?

Questions about Expedition features » Displaying course data » 9/24/2015 5:54 pm |
I am still relatively new to Expedition and am struggling with how to get the course data to display properly. I have set the start time and the course optimization gives me results that I expect, but the course window shows only the "from", "to" "range" and "bearing" fields. Under the "sail" field it shows the same sail for all legs, and the ETA is the current time for all legs. How do I get the course pane to properly display the sail selection, as well as to complete the other fields (TWA, AWA, etc.)? I am not currently connected to the boats instrument system and am trying to plan a weekend race. Oh yes, I am running V10.1.2
