As a hint: I usually download Squid GRIBs via the Squid application where you can download multiple at once. Then open in Expedition.
I know, but U really hate their UI.
I like the ability to manage all/most sources from within Expedition, which makes my workflow more streamlined. Also, it's inconsistent as I can "ctrl"-select multiple GRIBs in the WRF- and "My Grib"-menus, but not in Squid.
Not a biggie, but I thought it was a useful feature.

Thanks. Guess I got lazy picking models
Thought it was a great feature. Maybe would make sense with a proper modifier key?

Is it just me, or has the option to select multiple models for downloading changed? I used to be able to select multiple models to download at the same time but, now I have to do them one by one?

Love the new lock/unlock buttons.
But I can't figure out how to make fine position adjustments with the mouse anymore?!
General Discussion » Serial to USB? » 12/05/2019 9:23 am |
Maybe it's just me (?), but all my serial-to-USB adapters tend to stop working at the worst possible moment. Usually, a driver re-install is needed... and then it works for a while until something changes. Use it to get a MOB event into Expedition.
Are there a bulletproof way to do this in Windows 10? Brands? Drivers? Industrial adapters? Other pointers?

According to the Navico guy, Zeus3 should be able to get a WPT from the H5000, in the same way it recieves starting marks. I'll try to hunt down a proper answer.

I talked to Navico at a H5000 training in December, and they replicated the problem there (Exp sends nav data to H5000 just fine, but Vulcan/Zeus3 don't use the nav data from H5000).
Was hoping for a fix, but I have tha same issue after the latest latest update).
General Discussion » New B&G H5000 Installation -- What can it show from Expedition » 10/27/2018 3:19 am |
With the Expedition data sent to the Hercules CPU it's super easy to get it to the graphics displays as well as Zeus/Vulcan. Not 100% bug-free (old channels/labels tend to stick around), but very straightforward.

B&G rolled out a major software release the other day. Will we see any changes in functionality (especially regarding how Expedition sends waypoint or bearing/distans to mark)?
"Interfaces: Websocket expansion
To further enhance the Websocket functionality for third party connections, the H5000 CPU can now act as the system Navigation Source allowing waypoint information (such as Range and Bearing to a mark) be sent into the CPU and then sent out to the displays."
