Especially in the days leading up to a regatta I seem to download the same grib with the same area selection and the same detail lots of times. It would be great if there was a button to just repeat the last download. Better still if it was clever enough to know whether the model had updated or not.

When you use expedition with the optimizer and iridium handset what happens if the connection gets interrupted half way through, using predictwind and the optimizer it picks up the partial download and carries on, does expedition do the same or does it start again from scratch??

I don't seem to be able to download current weather observations in the latest release is this my laptop or a bug?

It just comes up with a blank box.

With all the multitude of range finders available for golf at reasonable money I wonder if anybody has any experience of whether these are good enough to accurately get range and bearing to marks on a moving platform and what range they genuinely achieve compared with what the manuals say!!

And do any of the cheaper ones have the ability to output the answer to expedition?

What makes/models has anybody tried?

When using the same start/finish line it would be really good to be able to put the finish line in as the last mark and as soon as you pass the previous mark expedition revert to a similar mode to the start sequence so that you could easily see which was the favoured end of the line.

Additionally it would be good if the above was reflected in the course list so that sail selection and course to finish were always to the favoured end.

I'm slightly with sparky here, it would be good to have a button which repeated the last download whichever model and selection previously made.

I use an Iridium 9555 satphone and that seems to require a redport optimizer and associated software in order to get anyform of internet connection.
