Sunlight readable tablets?

I know there are a lot of rugged tablets out there ($$$), but has anyone found a consumer tablet that is sunlight readable that they use with Expedition? I have been using Real VNC and works OK with a little lag. Anything new in that area also?

Re: Sunlight readable tablets?

I'm afraid I use Toughbooks, which are pretty good in sunlight.  Getacs also .... neither of which meet your criteria.  iPads unreadable on a sunny Sydney day.  Look forward to what others have used.

A lot of people are using the Mesa2, but it isn't as cheap as an iPad etc

Re: Sunlight readable tablets?

You could use either, but the people I know who are using them use Windows to run Exp on them natively,

I use a Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1. They go through eBay pretty cheaply and are tough as old boots.
