Using an alternate Polar chart

When Optimising can I use an alternate polar?
e.g. I have a polar table under  Tab "Pol8"  can I tell the Optimiser to use that rather than the polar table under Tab "Nav"?  If so how?
Thank you

Re: Using an alternate Polar chart

No, you cannot. To run an optimisation on a different polar you would have to load that polar as the Nav Polar.

The optimisation by pol% is a very effective way to test how sensitive routing is to speed differences in a polar.

OK Thanks Campbell,
Out of curiosity where are those other Tabs used; what are they for?

I have two different boats: different 10m wind scaling, different polars, different sail charts.  How best is this handled to avoid changing these settings back and forth?

Re: Using an alternate Polar chart

Hello,
They are used it you want to make a polar of something like keel angle.
Unfortunately, if you want switch between boats, you need to manually select a different polar.
