Sidekick is a SatPhone FireWall that restricts access to specific sites to control bandwidth usage.
You can enter add'l sites by entering the IP in the SideKick.
I'm trying to determine the hostname/ip that is used when grabbing tidetech data when using the API key so I can add an exception for TideTech.

From my desktop I can see that is connects to:  ec2-34-246-207-182.eu-west1.compute.amazonaws.com
That seems like an unusual IP to have hard coded into the software.  So I wanted to verify that the above is what is written into Expedition.
