Problems with large number of optimal routes...

I generated a large number of optimal routes (just shy of 600(576)) with the PacCup/Transpac historical grib.

It seems that Expedition doesn't really like having this many routes.
I can't, for example, open the Optimal Routes Result dialog. I can export a report based on the routes.
I've tried both the 4D and regular versions of Expedition on the latest release.

It would be nice to be able to review and filter more closely in these cases. I can run a smaller sample that doesn't sweep the start date in addition to sweeping the year but it would be nice to be able to handle this case.

Re: Problems with large number of optimal routes...

Yes, I'm quite sure the page interface doesn't like that many items.

I'm not sure of a good solution to that

Re: Problems with large number of optimal routes...

Are the optimal routes stored somewhere I can access them?

I see a dat file that looks like it contains the optimal routes - Is this an access database or something that I can get into?

Re: Problems with large number of optimal routes...

The file isn't readable.

I have an idea, but will take a day or three to implement.

Re: Problems with large number of optimal routes...

Can I move that file someplace else while you work on a solution and copy it back afterwards or is there other internal metadata that will be wrong and the file won't work? (It takes a long time to generate that many routes!)

Re: Problems with large number of optimal routes...

10.8.11 on the web now with the new interface framework that should handle large numbers of routing solutions.

As a bonus, it is also resizeable.

Re: Problems with large number of optimal routes...

Change is great! New window works well and I really like the resizeability.

Re: Problems with large number of optimal routes...

The only change that would make it even better would be a select all/select none function.
