Deleting multiple boats in Race Tracking Boats Editor

I like to keep my boats editor "clean" and only include the boats in the race I am sailing in.  Choosing "Select All" and "Delete" does not work... nor can I determine a way to manually select all (i.e. shift click first one and last does not select them all for mass deletion)...

Can a simple user-friendly method be added to delete all boats?

Re: Deleting multiple boats in Race Tracking Boats Editor

It is a little bit of a quirk of the list control. If you select the boat number, just to the right of the check-box, it will be high-lighted and you can delete it.

Select all just selects all boats to be plotted

Re: Deleting multiple boats in Race Tracking Boats Editor

try this...
If you're talking about the Sail Tab/Boat List
Click 1st Boat number
Hold Shift down click last boat number
Click Delete
When the Delete Warning Window pops up with Yes hi-lit Hold down the Enter key

Cheers

Ernie
You are a treasure above rubies.  How did you work that out?  I have always been really wary of just deleting the Expedition.mdb file .... I just hate seeing error messages  ......
Definitely the Tip of The Month!

Re: Deleting multiple boats in Race Tracking Boats Editor

It is something of a Windows standard thing. You can do the same thing in position reports, events, tests, the grib file list etc

Re: Deleting multiple boats in Race Tracking Boats Editor

Thanks Duncan,
Nick's right it's just one of those little Windows things that can save you time and clicks but isn't in any manual.  Maybe Will can do a section in the next release! :-))
Cheers
