Bg H5000 and expedition - GPS to bow offset

I have bg h5000 and expedition.
IF I set an GPS to bow offset in h5000 (0 in expedition), this is not changing the position of the boat in expedition.
I see that the parameters called BOW PISITION LATITUDE is changed in h5000.

If I set the offset in expedition (0 in h5000), it is ok in expedition. But of various reasons, I would have liked to have had the offset in h5000.

Any clue?

Best regards
Silje

Without being 100% sure, I think it's two unrelated offsets, i e both H5000 and Expedition start with raw GPS position and have to have their own separate setting.

Yes, Exp should be receiving the GPS position from the H5000, not any other derived value.

So Nick, if there is a correction set in H5000 does that come through to Exp corrected or raw?

Re: Bg H5000 and expedition - GPS to bow offset

The GPS position in Exp from H5000 is the GPS position, not the bow position. I'm not aware of any other offsets you can make, but am not an H5000 expert.

Maybe you can test by setting a ridiculous high offset in B&G (like 1000m or so) and check which position Expedition receives while you are still in the marina?

Re: Bg H5000 and expedition - GPS to bow offset

Hello,

I just had a look at the H5 manual and can't see an option to add a GPS offset correction, apart from the bow distance used in the H5 start calculations.
