C-map 4d Offset of map.

Hallo,
During yesterday's race I notice that they permanent buoys wasn't placed correctly, which was annoying, but after race I realised that the boat position in Expedition C-map differs from the position on the B&G plotter.
Unfortunately, I did not have the tracking line turned on, on the plotter, so I could not chech if we had rounded some fictive buoys doing the race.
But comparing the position on the different maps, it seems that the Expedition C-map position has a slight offset compared to the plotter

Anyone knows why this happens, and how do I fix this?

Re: C-map 4d Offset of map.

Are both devices from the same GPS?
Maybe one of them has a very slow updating GPS and therefore doesn't sow the actual position..

Re: C-map 4d Offset of map.

Both of them is from the same GPS.
The first thing I did was to compare the GPS coordinates to insure that the format was the same.
There is this offset function in expedition, where it seems like I can move the coordinates, but the only thing that happens is that I move the grid, not the boat nor the actual map.

Re: C-map 4d Offset of map.

I still haven't found a solution for my problem. An approximately offset of the position is about 18 - 25 meters.
I have a gofree wifi and get all the data from my zeus2 plotter.
Does anyone knows of some settings I have overlooked.

Re: C-map 4d Offset of map.

The most precise is the deffently the zues plotter.
I use C-map 4d EN-D299 Denmark and the baltic sea.

Re: C-map 4d Offset of map.

Hello,
Can you include a number box with the Exp screen shot?
Can you mail me? It will be far more efficient.

Re: C-map 4d Offset of map.

It would be interesting to see the position at the same time. I have a BSB chart here too.

For anyone with the same charts, I have mailed C-Map QA.
