AIS Data

Hallo
Regarding an upcoming a single hand race, held here in Denmark, we need to be able to track the competitors by the AIS signal. (For safety reasons)
Is it possible to load some live data into Expedition from a provider on the internet?

Merry Christmas to you all

Re: AIS Data

You can feed AIS data into Exp with TCP, for example for San Francisco, select TCP Client as the connection type, address 192.174.2.16 and port 80.

However, I am not aware of a similar, free source in Denmark. Some of the commercial AIS data companies may be able to supply a feed. For example, vesselfinder.com or marinetraffic.com

Re: AIS Data

I see this post is a bit old, and the address from Nick does not seem to provide data anymore. (It does however exist).

I did find an address for Norway that works, and is good for testing, but is limited in use to those of us not cruising in Norway...153.44.253.27 port 5631
There are commercial platforms, but I could not find any free sources (or close to free) that could be linked to expedition.  AIS hub will provide free data to those hosting an AIS station, but not an option for me at the moment

Anyone have any other free (or close to free) sources?

Thanks
Steve
