Expedition 4D Install Hangs -- OpenGL Problem?

Regular V10.7.9 Installs and runs fine. The 4D version installs and hangs on the first open.

Running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit OS.

The OpenGl test shows we have functionality at the 3.1 level -- is this the problem, too basic an OpenGL graphics system?

Graphics is Intel HD3000, which has OpenGL support but not at the higher levels.

Or maybe not related to OpenGL, in which case other advice welcomed.

Does the normal version of Exp work? You can have both installed.

Have you installed C-Map's maps manager and update?

Yes, the normal version works fine.

Yes, Maps manager was installed before installing Expedition.  Not the Maps Manager Update program however -- would that make it hang?

And yes, Windows 7 SP1 and the Platform Update have been installed too.

Will try again with the Maps Manager Update also installed.

Re: Expedition 4D Install Hangs -- OpenGL Problem?

Nick,

Installing the Maps Manager Update routine fixed the problem.  I tried to skip a step, thinking that program would be optional.  Oh well.

Thanks for your help.

The 4D version is now installed alongside the regular version -- will they be content to share the same database and "Program Data" files, or will this cause problems?

If problematic, I guess I should de-install the non-4D version, right?

Re: Expedition 4D Install Hangs -- OpenGL Problem?

They can be both installed and used (just not at the same time).

Both versions of Exp are identical, except for the C-Map part.
