    How Many Tests Before Modifying Polars?

    I've been collect Tests from Stripchart along the way.  Not sure how many I've accumulated.

    How many should I collect before I start modifying my Farr-supplied polars?

    Beneteau First 40
    B&G H5000
    Furuno PG700
    Toughbook CF-53

    I don't think it is the number of tests, It is the statistical quality of them.  So .... reject anything <95% and anything > than (say) 110% PBSP% or VMG%, having already produced samples that are reliable and filtered out all the tests that might be compromised by (say) mark roundings, slow tacks, start lines, crowded first windward works etc etc etc.
    I accumulate thousands of such things in a database.  After that clarity comes.

    There is also the 'Log files' button, which displays data form the day's log file(s) on the polar edit.
