Track marked in red - what does it mean?

Sometimes my track gets marked in red between two dots, that look like unnamed marks. Why does that happen and what does it mean?

nav
Look at Exp Dropdown/Settings/Track/Colour by/(VMG %)

Then Colour scale min-max come into play

You can try different settings by clicking Windows on the toolbar and setting a number box with say VMG% and use Playback/Simulate and 'watch' your boat as you plug in different scenarios.

Cheers,
Ernie

The red part of the track is the time window for which you have set wands in Stripchart.  It also works the other way around:  you can right click on a track and choose 'stripchart wand'.   Do that again on another part of the track and the part in between gets colored red and in Stripchart the time window is marked by two wands.

Ah okay, that makes sense. I might have accidentally set wands.
Thanks.
