Any performance hit for loading a large number of NOAA RNC BSBs?

I prefer using the NOAA raster BSBs to vector formats for coastal US stuff - at least until they go away not long from now.

NOAA offers the ability to just download as BSBs at once, which is great because I don't have to change things whether we're racing on the East or West coasts, or the Great Lakes.

All of the BSBs is over 1 GB of data and a zillion files.  I'm wondering:  will I see a performance hit in Expedition if there's as zillion BSBs in the data folder?  Could it slow down zooming/panning, etc.?  Is there any other benefit to only having the charts I know I need in the folder?

Thanks!

It will a little - just means a little more work to determine the best charts to display.

Obviously it will be dependent on the computer and actual number of charts in the database.

The only way to know for sure is to test it ...
